Our premium, custom-size cook top protector mat is crafted from soft, super dense, needle-punched polyester felt (3mm thick) - the same material that we use for our ironing board underlay pads. Needle-punched felt is very different from flat felt. The felt fibers are vertical and interlocking so your the pad is more resilient and will stand-up to constant use., is dense, will lay flat and will not bunch up. It is laser-cut so the edges are sealed, the sizing is precise and the mat will keep it's shape.
Unlike vinyl or fabric, you can leave felt protector on your stove top while using your oven, up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, and can place hot dishes from the oven, up to 325 degrees, directly on your stove mat The mat easily rolls up to set aside when you need to use your stove top or even better placed on your countertop to protect it from hot dishes.. The Hot Surface (HS) lights must be off before placing the mat on the top of the stove.
CUSTOMIZATION INSTRUCTIONS: Your stove top protector mat is customized to the size of your cooktop so please measure carefully! Measure the size of your cook top only, do not include the frame of the stove. We can leave the corners squared or slightly rounded off. You can easily round off the corners with a pair of household scissors so that your mat will fit perfectly on your cook top.
* Select the size option that is closest to or equals your desired size. Both the Length and Depth of the Option must be larger or equal to your size.
* Enter your dimensions into the Personalization Box; EX; Your stovetop dimensions are 23x29.5. Select the 24x32 option and enter 23x29.5 in the personalization box
* Select either squared corners or slightly rounded corners. The slightly rounded corners are not meant to fit the curve of your stovetop corners, but simply makes the cut a bit softer. If desired you can round the corners, using a pair of household scissors.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: The felt can be ironed, noting it is the same kind of felt that we use for the underlay pads that can be ordered with our custom ironing board covers. You can brush off lose debris with your hand or a soft brush. You can also use a lint roller on the felt, but use it gently as the roller will also pick up some of the felt “fuzzies”. The felt can be hand-washed and air-dried. (Due to the thickness and density of the felt, it may take a while for it to dry).
